Don't Stay In

An Evening With Freeman And Hill

Sussana Hill and David Freeman are both residents of Campbell River and are active in the community through their music. It all started with a chance meeting at a coffee-house open stage event a couple of years ago, and continued from there. They are folk singers and guitar players who have searched out and written a number of songs true to the genre of modern folk music. Their repertoire is true to the 1960's coffee house tradition. Quiet, thoughtful songs.

With the use of harmony and finger-style guitar, they perform music that speaks about love, social issues, life stories, drama, and stories of progress through life and its testing roads. They have sung and played at several venues in the city, including the Community Centre, coffee house open stages, cafes, resorts and outdoor festivals. They hope to continue to bring music to the ears of people just for the 'love of the song'.

” Black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel, sweet as love “
