So we boycott and protest

Events in exotic chaotic places,

Oblivious to our agents stirring

The mix, preparing a fix for

Some other country’s favor,

Grooming the stooge who

Will take the heat when the

Oppressed become the oppressors.

So we paint our hummers

Green to be seen as saviors

Of the planet, as we waste and

Destroy more than others use,

Smug in our superiority

Knowing that our coal

Burns clean with technology,

Snuggled warm in our hypocrisy.

So we track down dictators

And terrorists, many our former

Stooges, outsource torture

To what we call the axis of evil,

Say grace at our tables

Wrap in our flags and pray

To the Lord for help in

Our spread of democracy.

So we make war to prevent

Weapons of mass destruction,

Turn our low level nuclear

Waste into ammunition,

Isolate countries that might

Try to manufacture their own,

Claim our right to fight as we

Alone know right from wrong.

So we boycott and protest

Places that lack human rights,

But our flights in the nights

Taking kidnapped people to

Cages in enemy zones is okay,

As we pray for the day the

Whole world will be like us,

Our leaders have spoken, they said -

We don’t do torture - just slaps

To the head, simulated drowning,

And holding in extremely cold

Temperatures.
